Who We Are

Touchstone Advisors is a premier Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) firm headquartered in Connecticut, serving business owners throughout the Northeast and nationwide. With over 20 years of experience and more than 500 completed M&A transactions, we help companies across multiple industries navigate the complexities of buying and selling a business, from initial valuation through closing.

We focus on the lower middle market, meaning privately held companies with annual revenue between $5 million and $100 million. These businesses often face unique challenges in a sale, including owner dependency, thinner management benches, and less formal financial reporting than larger companies, all things we help address well before a transaction begins.

Many business owners come to us already intending to sell, but without having taken the steps needed to prepare. Selling a business is not just a financial transaction, it’s a pivotal life event that requires foresight, planning, and careful execution. Without proper preparation, owners often fail to achieve the maximum value for their life’s work.

That’s why we developed Exit Advantage℠, a program designed to help business owners, shareholders, and founders take steps well before they are ready to exit.

We focus on companies in the Lower Middle Market. This refers to the lower end of the economy’s middle market segment, which is measured in terms of a companies annual revenue.

Privately held companies that are grouped under the lower middle market category realize an annual revenue that ranges from $5 million to $100 million.

Introducing Exit AdvantageSM:

A Strategic Approach to Business Exits

Exit Advantage℠ is a comprehensive program that helps business owners make informed decisions about their future. By using the time available before an exit, owners can proactively make meaningful improvements to the financial, operational, and structural aspects of their business, improvements that make the company more marketable and support a smoother transition.

Participants gain access to expert advice, customized strategies, and a roadmap to maximize their company’s worth before going to market.
